Symia Merali: "In towns like Bradford communities haven't always integrated and mono-cultures have cropped up. If different cultures keep themselves to themselves misunderstandings can arise.
"In the current climate these have the potential to turn volatile.
"British Muslims are embedded into the British culture ... A lot of British Muslims have an anger at the portrayal that British Muslims are getting. But what we have to do as a community is promote the positive side of Islam."
