Our resident podcaster, Iain Dale, looks at the fortunes of two Internet stars in today's Morning Report.
First up, blogging virgin Mahmoud Ahmadinejad: "Before you log on to his blog, let me issue a word of warning. According to Israeli blogger Yael K the Iranian President has bad motives. She reckons he's trying to infect our computers with viruses via his blog. I suppose she's a bit paranoid but that doesn't mean to say Ahmadinejad isn't out to get her."
Next up, Westminster blogger Guido Fawkes: "Last week he promised us a video showing a government minister in a compromising position but his source hasn't delivered. But he still shares with us the contents of the video: 'The video would have shown the minister at a recent public event getting down, shaking his booty and smoking a joint...'
"Guido's seen the video yet he won't name the minister. And it's provoked a furious discussion among his readers.
"Deep Stoat eggs him on to name the minister: 'Who are you trying to protect? Yourself, your source or the arch-hypocrite who doesn't believe the law applies to them?"
"Peter Hopkins thinks Guido is being hypocritical: 'This shows the unprofessionalism of a blog versus a newspaper. You can wave things around like this, half announcing it, leaving some to speculate and, even, others trying to name the imbecile.
"'You like to lambast the press, the lobby correspondents, but in this case you've undone a lot of the good work and, for me, go from being an entertaining mischief maker into an unstable writer.'"
Finally, Iain's blog of the week: Slugger O'Toole. The place to go for all things Northern Ireland - a blog, says Iain, that skillfully negotiates a path through the sectarian divide.
